As @Guardians of the analog has mentioned, I too have gotten to know some pretty incredible people in the diy pedal world and in doing so, I have been the beneficiary of some great projects, parts, and the like. This particular project is no exception. Once again I have benefited from my man Chris and added to the mix this time, is the forum’s very own @szukalski . I can’t thank these guys enough for the work they put into this project and especially Chris for hooking me up once again. Dude is seriously way too good to me.
This thing is definitely a TR-2 through and through. When is comes to tremolo effects, the Boss TR-2 has always been my favorite. It’s versatile, solid, and one of the few trems I’ve been able to use in front of a distorted amp. It’ll do fast, slow, subtle, and hard chop. It also sounds great after delay which is my personal favorite way to use tremolo.
Aesthetically, I went with a spaghetti western theme. This was actually inspired by a conversation Chris and I were having about artwork. He mentioned The Good The Bad and The Ugly and I instantly thought of my favorite scene in the movie where the Ecstasy of Gold music kicks in. Hence the name for this pedal. This movie is also my favorite from the Clint Eastwood westerns so, it’s a no brainer for me to roll with it.
