Found a value tube 12au7 for ¥100 at a shop here in Japan($1). Thought I'd give this old layout a try after many years of wanting to. Basically similar to the Chandler tube driver's tube end section. Which many of you know as a Matsumin valvecaster. I started breadboarding the Chandler up, but only had a rather bad suited opamp. So ditched that section.then tired the tone stack.i ended up liking the original layout that's floating around online. Always good to test things out. It glows naturally with 12 volts but not 9. So I put some LEDs in there to help. Plus it tells you it's on. Same old hand made enclosure I've been messing around with. This time truly left over scraps. Took quite a while but I love the sound of this thing and the tube is mounted very securely. Cost me next to nothing in the end to make.

Yeah. I've been doing that for years, mostly to tell myself what happened in case something does go wrong in the future. Also cool to see the dates when i made stuff.
