Getting weak.......for gold....again.....

I did say no more new guitars this year right? Waaaaaaay in last year (2022) I said that?

Man, I don't want another guitar right now.....but every demo I've heard of this sounds freaking amazing......

The plain tones in Phil McKnight's video are calling to me.....

Good thing they're out of stock everywhere.....

This is a little off topic, but I wish someone would give me one of those to review. I don't trust anyone on Youtube anymore. If its that good, I'd let you know, because I hate PRS guitars. Everyone else acts like everything is amazing (because they are paid to, of course)...

Anyway, back on topic. My rule of thumb is the short term/long term argument. It would be great to have short term, maybe, but in 6 months will it still be making that much of an impact? Sure, it'll be fun to play for the first few weeks...then the mods happen, and then 6 months later you have a brand-new Squier Mustang/Jazzmaster/Coranado/whatever, and that PRS is just sitting in the corner...a very expensive paperweight.

Now, if in 6 months you are still playing this guitar, and this one only....none of your other guitars have been touched in months...then I'd say that it would be something worth getting...

It looks great but it has some funny thing where the strings go through the body. Looks out of place on a set neck..

Re: Coda’s thoughts: If it brings happiness then it’s worthwhile. I have more guitars than I need but when they do come into rotation they make me smile and I enjoy them. I do question the amount of guitars I have versus those I need though. I can’t dive too deep into those thoughts lest I look at the pedals in my corner..

I’m with you on the DGT Micheal but it looks like we’ll be waiting for about three months before we see them in the UK.

My HollowBody II SE experience has really made me look seriously at what PRS is doing with the SE range. I’d also be tempted by the SE McCarty 594 in Black Gold burst, and would want to play both before making any decision.

It’s a bit funny but the PRS finally made me pull my finger out and make a new nut for my Epiphone Les Paul, the nut on the PRS was perfectly cut and made the high action at the nut on the Epiphone unbearable in comparison, now the Epiphone plays great, it’s quite eye opening how much the nut affects the whole guitar.

Fun times, there will be lots of videos to what it can do in good hands.

That totally describes.........NONE of my guitars hahahaha

You ever find yourself wondering "who even is David Grissom?" No? Me either
Honestly, I never knew who Dave Grissom was until I started lusting after a DGT about 10 years ago. Then I looked him up on Youtube and was pretty blown away. Who the heck is John Mellancamp anyway? :ROFLMAO:

I'm just frustrated I didn't buy a core DGT back when you could easily pick them up for £1600 second hand in the UK. These new SE models are about £1000 here. If I saw a second hand one for about £600-700 then I could be tempted.

Yikes, that's a bit rich for an SE.

The £ vs $ is pants these days, well for us anyway. The UK economy is in a much worse way than it needs to be. Sadly we're dealing with a self inflicted brexit problem on top of the effects of covid. Guitar prices here are seriously messed up now.

I used to buy a lot of guitars in california when we visited my wife's family and take them back on the plane back when it was $2 to £1.

Yah, we're dealing with a self inflicted problem called Joe Bi.....(ooops, almost broke my own rule of no politics or religion..... :ROFLMAO: )
