Honestly, if it weren't for the historical value, I'd say that old '63 neck is just a poorly made POS, basically firewood AFAIC. And don't get me started on vintage tuners, with their stupid bushings and gross lack of precision even on a good day.

Some good woodworking there. A friend of mine did all the finish work on Eddie Murphy's house, floating circular stairway made out of rock Maple and about a million other things. He once told me the mark of a good woodworker was the ability to correct all the mistakes, lol...
