Graphic Assets for DIY Builders

So many folks here have graciously given their wisdom, experience, and kindness to me any time I've needed it. Over the last couple days, I've put together a few things that I hope others (that are just getting into this or are experienced) will find useful.

For now, I've only uploaded graphics-related stuff, but I hope to continue to add more to this repository as time permits.

Here's a folder with some Affinity Designer templates I've created for having UV printed enclosures made at Tayda (all of them correspond to PedalPCB projects or pre-drilled enclosures):

These are new"ish" in the sense that I may not have exhaustively tested everything to ensure they are 100% error-free. I suspect that they aren't, but if you do end up finding something, please do let me know. These templates aren't meant to compete with or replace the templates that were so generously provided by Pachyderm Pedals a while back (https://www.pachydermpedals.com/tutorials/templates/). My templates just include things that I've added to hopefully make for easier design work in Affinity Designer.

If you like to do mock-ups of your pedal designs before committing to printing, I'm sure you're already aware of some of the hardware illustrations available on the web. I've created mock-ups of a couple knobs that I've not seen illustrated but see on several pedals (also designed for use in Affinity Designer):

I hope that someone (besides me) finds these helpful.

Just wanted to say thanks to @Brett for the nice printing template with instructions. I was nervous about getting into Tayda UV printings with the lack of humans checking my formatting stuff on Tayda's end....but I followed the template and instructions and I am super happy with the great prints I just got back.

Happy to hear that the template(s) proved useful.

Just uploaded some of my custom assets for Audio and DC Jacks to my GitHub repo under the Graphics section. Here's a little preview of what's now available:

If you're using Affinity Designer, be sure to grab the file ending in .afdesign. The Affinity Designer file is highly organized and will make quick work of adding these jacks to your global assets.

Here's the direct link to the folder containing these on my GitHub repo:

If you feel that I missed something that is commonly used, let me know so I can work on getting it added.

Enjoy!

A preview of the footswitches that I'll be uploading soon, but I have a few questions for you guys...

- Did I miss anything?

- Does anyone actually use any of this stuff or am I wasting my time?

- If you do use these graphics, what components should I work on next?

If you suggest a footswitch that I've missed, please send over a link to the datasheet and (preferably) an image to go off of.

Newly Added Switch Mock-Ups...

Just uploaded some of my custom assets for Audio and DC Jacks to my GitHub repo under the Graphics section. I'll add some previews in the following post.

It's been brought to my attention (thanks @Harry Klippton) that I don't mention that these graphic assets can be used with...

As promised, here are some previews of the switches that were just uploaded:

Edit: I'm just noticing that some of the stroke weights didn't render quite right on the screenshots below, resulting in some thicker looking black lines around some parts. The high-resolution .afdesign and .pdf files in the GitHub repo shouldn't suffer from this. Long story short, the actual files look a lot better than the images below.

Minor Update

It's a minor update, but I've added a couple more illustrations to the GitHub repo. This time, it's sub-miniature toggle switches, footswitch accessories (dress nuts, washers, etc.), and toggle switch accessories (anodized aluminum washers, dress nuts, switch caps). All of which are located in the Switches folder.

Previews of new components can be found in the post...

Nobody mentioned that I forgot an entire category of switches from my illustrations, rotary switches.

I've got the Alpha SR2611F and SR2612F illustrated so far. Which rotary switches would YOU like for me to include?

These are incredible. Thank you very much! If you’re fielding requests for knobs, boss- and MXR-style, brutalist/contempo (RAT-style), and Davies would be great.
