Grounding Protection from an Enclosure

I’m building a board without soldering the pots directly on the pcb (planning on wiring them instead). What’s a good way to protect the board and the enclosure from shorting out? I heard foam tape works, but all I have is electrical tape. Will that work with enough layers just under the board?

I like foam tape and velcro. Electrical tape will insulate just fine.
