I don't know man, the collar-bone just sounds too weak as a bridge — I much prefer the iliac-crest for a bridge, but what do I know?
I'm playing a bass tuned an octave below regular bass, so the neck has to be a really strong spine.

I love Matt, he's one of my all-time favorite guitarist/pianist/singer/songwriters, but that's a hard pass from me.

Yup. I have no Idea who Muse is, but I had seen a pic of that guitar somewhere and was intrigued.

Now based on that Ad, my interest level is back to @Harry Klippton status.
