Hammond Leslie G

What is out there in terms of analog rotary emulation? The H&K Rotosphere would be awesome, but probably a very involved project, what with the tubes and all. Wasn’t there an old Korg organ with analog Leslie simulation back in the day? Not sure how good it was.

Also, I just found this FV-1 based pedal, maybe something like this could be done?

I knew it... :)

So... name the pedal that waits or has waited the longest in the queue. How long?

It's not too bad. I actually have the Destination Rotation Single, not the one in the photo above.

You can def get in the ballpark with a stereo fv1 platform like the Binaura. The 80s version of the effect is just four modulated delay lines (top and bottom right and left). Just a matter of dialing in the lfos to be convincing.

Later on they started adding amp and cabinet emulations to rotary effects but that’s more relevant to B3 players I would guess. I usually find the drive sounds in those not really very fun.

I read somewhere (can't find my notes on where) that a key to great Leslie emulation is that the BASS rotates at a slightly different speed than the TREBLE, especially when ramping up or down in speed.

Then of course, aside from bass/treble — how to emulate the sonic differences of a rotating drum with a hole cut out of it and a horn spinning...
