CONTEST Happy Day Turkey!

CONTEST
I’m thankful for my extended family coming to our house and cooking a beautiful thanksgiving meal for us when we just did not have the energy to make one ourselves or travel four hours to their place with a one week old! Also thankful for medical professionals. My newborn was recently delivered through emergency c section and the whole process astounded me from making the call to getting him out took EIGHT minutes!! These people are miracle workers.

I'm thankful for my sanity. I have Crohn's disease and currently going through a mild flare up due to various stresses in life (COVID, pending divorce, stressful household, work related stress, etc.). But I'm keeping it all together and doing my best to pick myself up by the bootstraps and carry on with my life. I have a new girlfriend, a wonderful 8-year old son, and wonderful people to work with. Can't complain. :D

I’m thankful for my amazing girlfriend who has stuck with me through thick and thin, my parents who are some of the best people I’ll ever know, my dog who is the cutest best pup in the world, my job and having financial stability, the good health of myself and those I love, having the time and ability to persue this extremely rewarding hobby, PedalPCB for making kick ass boards and being my gateway into this amazing community, and all of you for being apart of this community and helping and inspiring others.

I'm thankful that I've avoided death and devastation this far and may continue to do so for a while yet.
I'm thankful that even someone with as few life skills as I have can have a life that contains some occasional moments of joy.

A year ago had anyone told me that I would have tears from reading a guitar pedal forum....

Much love and respect to everyone so far, and it's okay to be mushy in front of other guitarists....just don't get the drummer started. 🤫

The feasting is winding down, but the contest and question remains.....we want to hear from YOU next! 🖊️

Congratulations man!

This made me actually LOL Billy! 🤣

I am happy to call you Sir Blade from know on of your prefer?
You know it mate

That nickname was stolen when I was a manager at a breakdown service

I was giving all the guys nicknames one day and one of them was totally calamitous 2 left feet the lot

So when it came to his turn I said right your nickname is Dangerous Dongbert obviously he wasn't most chuffed and said how come they all get cool names like Razor Speed and Mad Hat McGhee and I get that? I want a cooler name like Sir Blade

I eventually persuaded him being dangerous was cool

Back story: my brother has had seizures that have increasingly worsened for about 13 years causing havoc on his frontal lobe's development and speech center in his brain. He recently had a procedure involving lots of holes and needles. Procedure was beneficial for many reasons and has brought some comfort and hope to my family.

This Thanksgiving I am beyond thankful for my little brother, his doctors, and my caring family.

Also I am extremely thankful for this community and the peace and joy that this has offered to me when stressed or overwhelmed. It's a daily vacation to come here to learn and enjoy the weirdos we all are.

I'm thankful for my kids. And for this new pedal building hobby of mine. It's been quite the whirlwind of a year for me. And some of those nights, soldering parts til the wee hours of the morning helped give me some time away from the craziness.
