I grabbed a muff factory too. Need to get an illustrator template together and start on some graphics. I doubt I’ll be building totally to stock specs tho,
Anyone have preferred gain range for the germs? Any recommended mods of any other sort? I might add a clean blend too, just going for everything & the kitchen sink lol

If you're a green type fan you're going to want to do some mods. My muffin factory is stock and sounds excellent but at no point have I found a setting I like for the long guitars/bass. The meaty lows just aren't available. That being said, my muffactory absolutely smokes that muffeletta I borrowed a few weeks ago.

I was actually thinking of basing things around zappa’s modified muff for the foundation of things, and then compensating the values of the dip-switch related stuff to my own preferred values for the given components. I’ve never tried a Russian/green muff circuit— just NYC, triangle/guild, and the zappa values (I don’t remember which version his started off as tho). Plus whatever muff variant Matt from idiotbox chose for the No Moon circuit (Muff, 808, and Rat in parallel).
Where does one find the Zappa values?

Scroll down to V3. I built one with those values (47k limiting resistors) and it’s meh. I think that mod was done in the late 80’s from 78 up to then I bet it was mostly stock…

I thought there was a little more to it than just the limiting resistors changed in the actual pictures of his board, but I may be wrong.
Anyway, since the limiting resistors are all dip-switchable, so doing the main ones as 47k with the ones on the switch as something in the 7k5-12k range to get more of a traditional muff when those dipswitches are in the on position
Same place I got the “Gilmour” values… which were luckily close enough to the Russian that I could toggle between both in the same pedal
