So I got enough dirt pedals(at least for now, but is there really such a thing?). And am looking for more variety. And just can’t make up my mind. What’s your favorite Modulation, Pitch, filter, etc. that you have built from PedalPCB? I would love to hear your opinions.

If you want to have some wacky fun I can recommend the Leprechaun. I built one for a buddy and it was a pretty good time. He really enjoys it.
I have looked at that a few times. Can it be dialed back to be subtlety useful or is it full on 🌈 and 🦄 💨 all the time?..🤣

I only played with it for a little while before my friend picked it up, and most of that time it wasn't functioning properly (if you build it and don't include the expression jack, be sure to add the jumper!). I asked him if it was "usable" after he got it and he said that it can be tamed and mellowed in to a nice delay. He said he liked it more than the other delay he was using (not sure what that was) and was planning to use it on some recordings. But it does rainbows and unicorns pretty well, too.

My opinion:
Everything that the Leprechaun couldn't do was do-able with an Arachnid equipped with "Pitch Delay" on the EEPROM, which can also do plenty of rainbows and unicorns.

If you dial the pitch to near unison it makes a nice chorus effect.

Apparently a lot of folks use it for that purpose alone.
Ok so it’s more usable and versatile than what it’s notorious for. That’s kind of cool.... I’m kind of a sucker for a good chorus and you knocked it out of the park with the Caesar.

That was another one I was looking at. And wanted to do in the future. How do you like the options of effects on that one?are there any I should definitely include? (I got a Caesar and a Phase II. )

I really enjoy harmonic tremolo. To me it’s more interesting/pleasant than regular tremolo, but often phasers and vibes are just a bit too much. The new pedalpcb harmonic tremolo seems like a winner.

There’s lots you can do with the arachnid with eeprom builder. The unison (dual detune) is a great chorus that does the constant pitch shift, like what people use the rainbow machine for but better in my opinion because you get detune up and down at the same time for a deeper effect but still sounds in tune. The kaleidoscope patch (daydream delay) and sample hold filter are really cool. Though tremolos and phaser patches I didn’t like as much as analog versions of those effects.

The Hydra was the one I wanted to get but it’s out of stock at the moment..... now I’m left with a void in the cart that I just can’t seem to fill...

You guys are kind of selling me on the arachnid.
