SOLVED Hydra delay

Hey all, I’m in the process of building my hydra. I realized I put the wrong voltage regulator in. I put one of the 12v I have in for another board instead of the 3.3v I was supposed to. I tried to remove it but my solder sucker is too big and can’t remove enough to get the regulator out. My question is can I just leave the 12v in or will I run into any problem with the circuit?
Thanks!

You’re going to want to use the correct regulator, unless you’re into roasted IC’s. Regulators are used to ensure critical voltages are not exceeded, they’re usually not just an arbitrary part.

You can get it out of there, even without a solder sucker (personally, I've never had much luck with the solder suckers). You can either snip the legs and remove them one at a time, or you can solder a copper wire across all three legs on the back side of the board, heat the copper wire, and pull the voltage regulator out from the top. Then you can use solder braid to clean up the holes.
