Hydra. No Sound.

I really took my time and was sure to solder the fv-1 correctly. But still have no sound other than bypass mode. Cannot find any shorts anywhere. And the pots under the board have covers. Is it really that important to use Mlcc for the 1uf caps? I used film because I had them already. I did this before the docs were uploaded like an idiot.

film caps are ok to sub for MLCC.

do you have sound in bypass?
when you activate the footswitch does your LED turn on?

read through a number of "no sound" posts in the forums to see the general approach you may follow to isolate the problem and fix it.

you may have a bad connection in the sound path, or a bad connection in the power paths to the ICs.

use the schematic and measure the pins on the ICs where you should have voltage. use your meter and record those voltages.
use the schematic and find the places on the schematic where you should have a connection to ground. use your meter to confirm that those parts are connected to ground.

read about building and using audio probes as another simple and effective diagnostic tool.

for more assistance looking for problems on your PCB, post detailed pics of the other side and for the wiring to the power and in/out jacks.

Check for loose wires/bas solder at the foot pedal (in put and out put) & double the wire connection at the Sleeve and Tip also to the PCB.
