To the organizers of these contests and the whole community here goes the rarest jewel of them all, my sincere admiration.

This forum is one of the most wholesome, funny, informative, helpful, generous and positive places on the internet. I'm happy to be a part of it, albeit very small.

My finances and work have been unpredictable since last October but I hope to be able to resume building soon.

You’re all sick in the head building these pedals one after the other. Starting a new build before you finish the other 6 And for what? Self gratification? Self abuse? Sheer joy? I don’t care ,pick your poison and drink it down then go build yourself another one
My poison by the way is pure hardcore addiction I couldn’t stop if I wanted hell if my wife wanted me to ( oh and she has) I tell her to refer back to our first conversation about how there’s too many pedals Do I really need them all? Do I use them all? Why don’t you sell some off?

I must say, I’ve sold them off a number of times, I always rebuild them, every time. I am literally up to my ears in pedals. I have 11 circuits finished waiting to be boxed

Does the LED light?
Does it pass toast?
If it's burning toast, then it's functioning as the designer intended.
Clean your board! It's COVERED in crumbs.

Actually no. You just need to swap the durasteel heating elements for a beskar alloy (pure bescar is too strong, and will instantly char the bread). Good luck getting anything from your local scrappers though— you’ll need to find someone selling NOS House Vizsla beskar heaters made by Clan Wren. This is the way to good toast.

I found some NOS Beskars being sold by a retired podracer, but the Mandalore PNP seem to be folklore — There’s a Hutt on Jakku who claims to have a line on some, but I don’t want to wind up indebted to the damn Hutts and sold to a slave ship or, worse, thrown into the belly of a Sarlacc.

I'll look through my stuff marked "other"....which makes up 65% of my inventory...I could have sworn I picked up some from a trader at Mos Eisley's. Yes...I remember now, it took several hours to de-slime those parts. Never buy components from a gelatinous mass.

As someone about a year ahead of both of you, I turned 41 beginning of January, welcome to the club. My forties have started off well, I rediscovered guitar/bass and started building pedals and got a bass kit to build. I just hope your entry into this decade of life is filled with as much joy as this DIY adventure is bringing me.

Fig do you honestly think you’d be happy building toasters . I find the placement on pedal board to be rather problematic. My toaster is a 1 trick pony. I know some of you fancier high end people have the deluxe models that does bagels AND bread but I’m just a simple pig farmer from the city with a simple “living the life” creed.
Its all in my manifesto if you’d like more info on living a simple pig farmer’s life from the city and more look for “ Living The Pig Farmer from the City Simple life “ Chock full of great ideas and stuff.
