you’re good with 5mm with most printers. googled your printer:

But the lower margin for some reason is 12.7mm or something like that

So yeah, I added margins and made sure to stay inside, now the print is fine
On to try waterslide for the first time!

As a side note, why it seems like printers' page margins are a secret? I only found my printer's info (cheap HP 2820e) on the indian product page...

How I figure it out:
In "word" I go into page setup, and set all margins to 0. When you click on OK it tells you the margins are too small and do you want to fix it. Then it sets them to the minimum which the printer has in it's settings.

I bought an old version that doesn't need to be 'rented' every year. Then I found out about Open Office by Apache

FREE ware that does spreadsheets, word processing etc

Yeah, I stopped using word in the early 2000s when I switched to Linux. I used OpenOffice back then and switched to Google Docs in the early 2010s… I’ve tried them all!

I use LibreOffice as it's free but I also stay as far as humanly possible away from spreadsheets and powerpoints and only use it to output BoM and PnP files for JLC. Never touched a spreadsheet in my life before that.

I just adopted Libre recently and use Inkscape only for its tracing functionality when I don’t have an illustrator license.
