Is there a way to boost the output volume of the Electro Vibe?

I built an Electro Vibe for a friend, and he's a little disappointed that (to his ears) the vibe only goes up to unity volume with the vol knob all the way up. Are there any simple modifications to boost the overall output level?

Change R4 to 4.7M and R2 to 6.8k. I just did this mod and it works great. Unity at noon.

Conveniently I have a EV preamp board on my desk and would probably be running into the same problem. Checked the schematics and for the EVPreamp board that same mod would be to change R2 to 4.7M and R9 to 6.8k. Figured I'd share that in case anyone ends up referencing this post and wondering. Thanks for the tip Betty!
