Issues with a Deflector Reverb [Fixed-ish]

Hey,

My Deflector with a pre soldered Spin FV-1 arrived today, and I quickly assembled it. Once I got to the testing phase, I was a bit disappointed - the pedal turns on and passes signal when the pedal is on, but there is absolutely no effect. I just finished reflowing all the joints to no avail. Anybody have any suggestions to get this one working?

IC4 should be CD4049, not CD4094.

That's the clock for the FV-1, without it there will be no digital signal.

Well I feel a bit silly now. I totally ordered the wrong IC. I'll order a new on right now.

I can totally relate to this, I've had my bouts with dyslexia too many time to count

Easy mistake to make, and easy to fix.

Make sure you get it from a reputable source. That one looks a little suspicious, that's what caught my attention to begin with.

I'd also check out that capacitor while your back in there poking around.. looks a bit suspect.. Appears it got some of the hot poker treatment while you were soldering your off board wiring.

oh... and good luck with the electrical tape for the pots.. that almost always causes issues.... your better off with some thin hard plastic cut from a milk jug or some cardboard if you dont have pot covers..
