Engineers gonna engineerEHX is aware that the Spruce Goose barely flew, right? My father used to be a docent at the museum where it now lives and while it's pretty cool to see, it's not exactly a symbol of reliability. More like a giant money hole and a useless feat of engineering. (That sounds more like the euna to me, lol)
It was actually made with Birch with layers known as Plywood!. Hughes takes credit with a 1/3 contribution, the other 2/3 were Taxpayers!!!Mentaltossflycoon mentioned "Euna"...
Listen, Don't mention Euna.
I once mentioned Euna, but I think I got away with it all right
Okay, enough needling Mentaltossflycoon, needles to say.
I'm a fan of Spruce, and a fan of Goose, but I'm not exactly pining for this pedal.
It's a rather odd duck, inspired by an ugly duckling.
It wasn't a Hughes success, I mean, the original Spruce Goose, it was a rather ungainly bird.
Is this pedal knot ungainly? Kind of defeats its purpose, wood in it?
Question: What is The Beatles song that has the same name as this famous JET that was in service for 30 + years to protect the USA?Now if we want to talk about a real plane,
The Beatles had a song with the same name as this Classic jet!!!
Not even close, we're talking Long & Sleek!, I can't leak any more information than that!.Bulldog? [wild stab in the dark blindfolded with one hand tied behind my back standing on one foot atop a spinning platform]
