JLC alternative in US?

Short answer is no. With that said, you probably have some room for saving by optimizing your JLCPCB orders. It doesn't look like you're using their Global Standard Direct Line for shipping. I'm in the US, and I paid $11.26 for shipping on a comparable order two weeks ago. And if you pay by credit card instead of PayPal, you'll save another 50¢. I'm at a loss for how you ended up with a 30% sales tax, though.
Just checking a JLC price, the Global Standard Direct option doesn't appear to be available... or at least I couldn't find it.
Last fall I bought 5 each of 2 different boards, with shipping/fees was about $70.
Now, $140.

Weird. I ordered three sets of five boards on Tuesday and shipping was $8.56 via Global Standard Direct. I checked again a second ago, and I'm still seeing it as an option (this is for two sets of five boards):

Maybe it's the size of the boards I'm making? Mine are 126 x 56mm. No way 10 boards of that + the box is 1.5 kg. idk.

Whoa, that was it. If I pick standard green and forgo the color upcharge (keeping merchandise under $60), I can checkout for $56.70 total, compared to $140 by picking a $5 color upgrade. Shipping is WAY less. There may be fees on there I don't see yet, but still 1/2 as much as if merchandise is over $60.

Great tip!

It might be worth separating the order into 2 batches and pay a little more in shipping instead of a lot more.

Back to this Global Standard Direct Line shipping... what's everyone's experience with it? The standard DHL is actually pretty fast, like 2-3 days from when they ship (I guess that's what it says too!). Does the GSDL really take 8-13?

From my experience its pretty close to the 8-13 day time frame.. just checking on my last 4 orders, they have all been 11 days from shipment to my door.

Used it once, never received my package

My orders typically take 7-10 days from the end of PCB fabrication to delivery (I'm on the US east coast).

My ~$250 production order turned into $600 with shipping and tariffs a couple weeks ago. Not great.

However, 12 or so years ago (before the tariffs and JLC was widely known) it wasn't unusual for me to drop $2-3k on production at different manufacturers a few times a year. I used to do much higher quantities but it was also much more expensive to manufacture.

Just put $63 worth in my JLC cart, Global is available for $3.37! So maybe $60 isn’t the limit but I’m sure it’s close to that.

Well I was wrong, it IS <$60. Allows you to do Global during the "estimate" phase, but when you go to checkout, it's strictly <$60, even says $59.99 or less.

Ordered ~$60 worth of stuff on Friday, Global Standard Direct. It arrived the week after Tuesday, 11 days later just like you said. I can live with that. Honestly DHL/UPS is... best case... 7 days. As long as it shows up, I can wait an extra 4 days.

I've got another order soon that will be about $80. I'm going to split it up into two $40 orders to do GSD.
