Kliche Muddy

Built a Kliche, the treble knob does work but is soooo muddy.

Germanium’s are from stomp box parts, ICs and the rest from Tayda.

Thoughts?

is it muddy at all gain ranges? That's really weird. I can't see all your values but they look fine from here. That's the opposite of what it should be doing lol

Looks like a couple cold joints on your treble pot.

My first troubleshooting step once a pedal is getting power and passing signal is always to verify all the component values.

You mentioned you have a bass-klon in your build queue - the components involved in that mod could be a logical place to start if you're getting too much bass in this one. I spot checked some of the film caps where I could see the printed values and didn't catch any mistakes. Check the rest though.

I could see an accidental swap of C16 and C22 (47u and 4u7) giving you trouble.

It is muddy at all gain stages. The treble works but even pegged it’s still murky.

I will check all the components. 99% sure I swapped something, just curious if I missed something else glaring before decoding 92,000 components.
