SOLVED Kliche - No Power (SOLVED)

Kliche build - no power or signal passes.

Anything glaringly obvious before I got the DMM route to find something?


I put the LED in sort of a temp spot until I can get the bezel in the mail, I also swapped out the charge pump IC with a spare in case that was bad, not sure where else to check?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Your power jack is wired backwards.

yep, you made black to + and red to - ... so colorwise the "right" wiring on your DC jack but not on the PCB. So swap your wiring on the PCB or on the DC jack. It doesn't matter. Change what's easier for you.

Yikes, well that’s embarrassing haha

I’m going to put it together here shortly -

While I’m at it, I may have a fix for the LED placement -

If I run wires with the LED being placed in this daughter board, will that cause any issues?

Also, is it best practice to run the wire behind on the solder side, or the component side?

So I soldered the LED to wires from the component side, and now no LED

I’ll try to upload a photo this afternoon, I made good contact with the LED legs and shrink wrapped the connection, triple checked the positive leg is soldered to A, negative (shorter leg) soldered to Cathode on the PCB

Not sure how this relates to your issue, but I know those Kliche boards ship with their own footswitch breakout boards. If I remember right, those aren't the same as the standard PPCB switch boards (because it's a buffered pedal I guess?)

As far as your LED wiring, a picture would help.

Here’s what I have as far as wiring the LED.

Still need to solder the Cathode part, and shrink wrap the legs -> Will this work?

For the daughter board, I had a spare that has LED pads, do I need to do any with those pads or is it ok to just leave them alone?

Like Eric suggested that daughterboard is not compatible with the kliche.. it has it's own daughterboard..... there is a way to wire it truebypass without the daughterboard on the build doc

I got it. LED and pedal functioning 100%

Couldn’t get to sleep tonight, so I wired everything up and gave it a shot.

The sense of accomplishment I feel right now is incredible.
