Legit LM308n ?

I bought about a dozen metal cans from Small Bear a year or two back but I'm not sure that will help you as I don't know how likely that is to happen again. But they are the real deal and sound suitably Ratty.
 
I knew about DSMCZ, didn't see them there. The Etsy link is more expensive than some real (I'm pretty sure) LM308's I know about, if there was something for cheap I might have been interested. But thanks anyway, it's not like I actually need them (I have a couple of 308's and 208's stashed in case I want to build more RAT's at some point).

The printing just looks off in the photo. Maybe I'm wrong.

The confidence that more will be in stock in 7 weeks is at least a little off-putting. Maybe it's just a placeholder for parts that are configured as replenishable in the system, it has said 7 weeks for at least two weeks, regardless, I was suspicious.....

Let me clarify that this is not a negative review. I've never personally had any bad experiences with Jameco.
(I don't think that I've ever actually ordered anything from them)

Why not just go with an Op07 and call it a day? I have both and cant tell a difference. Plus you can get them from legit vendors and not have to worry about it. I promise I’m not trying to be an ass. It’s a legit question.

I could fuel the, or maybe start a new, fire and ask whether you're using a TI copycat or a ceramic package OP07 made by the original manf, PMI 🤡
 
I was honestly just curious if and why it was ruled out? There is nothing wrong with it if you build a rat or rat like pedal. Like Robert said its just not as sexy to advertise but functionally equivalent and much easier to source a legit ic. Now if i was asked if I would like some real 308’s of course I would say yes, lol. But then I would probably put them in a drawer and not use them.

Those literally aren't any better (whereas arguably there is a small difference with LM308/OP07), but they are cool.
