Arguably the MC1458 makes the best... clean? What's the opposite of distortion?
It's one thing to compare op amps with slightly different THD values in a design meant to reproduce audio as accurately and cleanly as possible, to guitar pedals where the whole point is to add distortion. I doubt the second order harmonic caused by the op amp is very loud compared to what clipping produces?
Not to mention all the limitations the article mentions, and how unreliable audiophiles can be in general (not necessarily in this instance, but look up the audiophile rocks for example).
