I bought one of those when it came out. I was severely disappointed! I don't know what I expected - more flexibility? Weird sounds? Maybe I just have trouble dialling in graphic EQs?

I'd be interested to find out how the EQ relates to the gain. Is the EQ tacked on after the OD, or baked into the circuit somehow?

I was looking into this and the Steve Stevens pedal with the EQ sliders at one point. From what I remember the Melody is a “Dumble” style.
