Micro Bassman Build

Well, for sure V2A is dead ... so that explains the loss of signal. I wonder if that tube was already bad from the start as the amp never had a lot of volume, like even for a tiny basement amp. I'm waiting on two replacement 12AX7 to try one in V1 also.
Voltages looked mostly spot-on, I'll see again with the new tube.
Only thing, heaters are at 12.6V instead of 6.3, not sure what's going on there.

Hi @Nic! Awesome looking amp! Did you ever get around to swapping out those tubes or trying a different output transformer? I just finished up a Bassman micro build and I was also wondering if it should be louder.

I had a bad 12AX7. Ordered 2 of those and tried it with those. It’s now alive but still too quiet for my taste. I want to test it on another speaker. But my heater voltage needs to be checked first. That's the only voltage that looked out of spec.

Okay, thanks for verifying. Given your experience and mine, sounds like it might not be a very loud amp. It just doesn't sound as loud as I would have thought 2-4 watts would be. Like someone else in this thread said, the 125b OT might be putting out slightly less than that 2-4 watts number. It does sound really good to my ears though. I just wish it moved a little more air. Your amp looks really sick too. Really awesome details you put into it. Thanks again.

Thank you ! Someday I might try with a 125C OT, but for now I just don't have enough time.
