Mid-Fi Electronics Deluxe Pitch Pirate: Adjusting "Delay" Pot

Hi all, I built a Deluxe Pitch Pirate using this layout and I love the pedal a ton. However, I find that I most frequently use the pedal for its chorus/vibrato sounds rather than as a delay pedal.

There are a couple of things I'd like to modify about the circuit, but I'm not sure how:
  1. Adjust the sweep of the Delay potentiometer so that I can more easily fine-tune the shorter delay times.
  2. Adjust the sweep of the Delay pot so that full CCW doesn't totally zero out the delay time but rather just gives me the minimum delay time that the PT2399 can offer while still being able to produce depth/rate modulation. (As it stands, I have to very carefully dial the Delay pot to a point that's just a hair short of full CCW in order to find this setting.)
Thanks in advance!

Decrease the delay pot, and increase R9. 10k / 2.2k should be a good starting point. Adjust each as needed.

Another thing I like to do with the PT2399 chorus circuits is replace that chip with an HT8970. They're not as common, but they're pin compatible and have around half the min/max delay time of the PT2399

By sheer coincidence, I just placed an order for some HT8970 chips just the other day! I'll swap one in for the PT2399 once they arrive.

Also, for R9, are you referring to the 1k resistor between the lug 2 of the delay pot and pin 4 of the LM386? Just double-checking because the schematic I see here lists R9 as the 22k resistor that comes off of pin 12 of the PT2399.

And thank you for the suggestions!

Sorry, was going off the PedalPCB Pitch Witch schematic. But yes, the 1k coming off of lug 2
