Mini Pedal format?

The enchanted boost fits without too much trouble in a 1590a. I agree that 1590b builds would be fun, and I personally love side jacks. I think we could just extend the board to the footswitch and have jacks fitted to the boards. In the meantime, I have ordered so many 125bs - so maybe I will start by trying to add side jacks instead of top.
Although I've moved on from tiny-pedal builds, I was able to put top jacks in 1590B. It's a squeeze, but possible. You have to use very narrow jacks.

Your idea needs a few paradigm shifts that I don't see happening. But it's a fun exercise nonetheless!

Side jacks on a 125b... You might go to hell for that:)

I’ve been able to get 1/4 TRS intended for PCB mount to fit as top jacks on a Gorva M45, which is only slightly larger than a 1590A

If I can't fit KLBM3 jacks in a build, these are the ones I use. I've spotted them used in Boss pedals, even. Can also find them on AliExpress but the price is a wash after the faff, so I just stick to Tayda.

I will add, that after measuring them, pancake jacks will barely fit nicely with the DC barrel Jack.

I fit a Prunes and Custard in one of them with top jacks - very cool, very fiddly.
I used Limburgh jacks (or decent quality equivalent) and 9mm pots.

I've actually got two test enclosures left somewhere so should make something else to go in them

Which level of hell is that? Because it gets worse:

This inspired me to take a pic of my pedals with impractical side jacks. Three of these are my fault. The other two are a standard Boss pedal and a EHX Battalion. The Battalion even has a gain knob that pokes out on the left side. Notice how none of the jacks on anything line up very well with the next pedal. Hooking this all together would take up more space even with right angle cables.

The wood they're on measures 19.5" x 5.5" for reference. Battalion is actually the same size as the 1590XX on the left. The light blue reverb is a 125B and the fuzz is a 1590A.

I'm only going with top jacks in the future. Preferably in a 125B or 1590BB2. I've finally learned my lesson.

From factor to me is a balance. I work in user experience and form and function is top of mind. Too small and it's a right PitA. Big for the sake of big/nostalgia building irks me quite a bit.

1590B feels nice, right in the middle, but can't fit a BF-2 in one… with thru hole, anyway.
