Modding the glory hole for double barrel high gain switch. What did josh do?

So theres a thread on this where he made changes to r7, which is feedback resistor for the clipping stage. I tend to think the actual switch is like where the high gain mod for the paragon/parthenon are located in the first stage, where the glory hole doesnt have a resistor other than the drive pot.

First question is does anyone know where jhs actually put the switch.

2nd question thoughts on best way to implement if is is thr in first stage. My first though would be cut trace going to drive pot 1, tack a wire from r3 leg to dpdt tack wire to pot 1 to dpdt. Add 100k between bottom two lugs of dpdt. Use something small across the top two.

Open to suggestions :)

Thx

There's only one way to find out for sure...

The Mode switch / Red Remote controls a DPDT relay in the Morning Glory V4, judging by the traces it looks like it might be increasing gain and disconnecting the Hi-Cut switch simultaneously.

Hmm. Well that does make it sound like r7 might be more probable. Not super worried about the hincut auto can just do that manually

I can't say for a fact that's what is happening, but it looks like it.... it's hard to say for sure though, it looks like there have been some other changes to the circuit as well.

Not yet, it's on my list of pedals to look out for.

It's time to offload some stuff soon so I'll see what I can do.
You know what would be awesome, when you have time to get to it and if it doesn’t become too much of a PITA - a second volume control for when the gain switch is active to compensate for the volume jump. Combine that with retaining the relay jack for an ext remote/midi switching and i’d buy like ten of these 😂

The volume jump is fine if using exclusively as a lead thing but if trying to use it as like a channel 2 for just extra dirt its obnoxious. Surprised a second volume wasn’t standard when they added the gain.
