My only caution would be to steer clear of single pin units. multiple contact points will help preserve contact.

I'm pretty sure for production I'll use the Keystone 628, as it's a little shallower and i think i can fit it with no issues on the same side as the relay.

Have you seen @cooder method of using stripped solid core wire soldered to the ground lug then wrapped a times around the exterior part of the jack so it makes contact with the enclosure?

I’ve used that lots of times when using isolated jacks. It’s also invisible.

I may be missing something, but is there a reason you couldn’t just ground at the switch/chassis contact point?

Edit: NVM, I see now that you’re trying to avoid running a wire.
