Been using the carbon resistors because I ended up with a ton of them, and rather not have em taking up space anymore. Sorta the same with the tantalum, but, I am a bit choosier where I place those.Holy crap, that's some serious output for 2 weeks and some complicated builds too!
I don't feel like such a freak for building as much I do hahahah. Thank you!
Any particular reason you went with Tantalum and Carbon comp on the Gravitation? Does it make it sound any different?
That's interesting, I've built two Grav's and about to build the Spirit Box hahaha. I needed one more standalone reverb unit to replace the spot for my Spatialist, which has become a dedicated "DayDream" pedal. (Or more accurately a Kaleidescope pedal).Been using the carbon resistors because I ended up with a ton of them, and rather not have em taking up space anymore. This is the first Gravitation I've built, so can't compare it. I will say that I enjoy it a lot more than the Spirit Box, though I'm not a huge fan of reverb to begin with
The Spirit Box is kinda weird, it sorta sits between a slap back delay and a spring reverb, but doesn't really excel at either. With certain other pedals running into it, it's easy to get some Apprehension Engine sounds, though. That's interesting, I've built two Grav's and about to build the Spirit Box hahaha. Yep, just rubber stamps. For the typewriter font, I use the small Contact USA stamps- they can be found on Amazon. For the Peignot font, I had some customs made a while back, don't recall where though. That’s a lot of builds, really nice. Is the lettering just stamps and white ink? I really would like to switch to something a little more simple.
Thanks!Wow. Kudos man. I dig the design theme. I like simple. I also really like the way Tants look. Again kudos.
Any opinion on how the stamping technique would work on a copper hammer enclosure? Up until I saw this post I was thinking of spray painting stencils.Yep, just rubber stamps. I use either Stazon Opaque white ink, or Artline Hi-Seal 450
I've done a couple in the past, and it's worked okay. I don't recall if I had to saturate the stamps a bit more.Any opinion on how the stamping technique would work on a copper hammer enclosure? Up until I saw this post I was thinking of spray painting stencils.
Thanks. That looks ok for me. Although you're right, the Tayda one might have a deeper textureI've done a couple in the past, and it's worked okay. I don't recall if I had to saturate the stamps a bit more.
I think this particular enclosure was from Pedalpartsplus, and it kinda looks like the Tayda might have deeper texturing

I think you'd be fine, just make sure to keep the stamps a little wetter. I'm confident it'd look rad, so keep us updated if you do go with the stamps on the hammeredThanks. That looks ok for me. Although you're right, the Tayda one might have a deeper texture

I used their provided templates... Except for the Celeste, I forget what I used for that oneI'm done with my 15 ppcb backlog builds and the karaoke chorus which is awesome. I'm looking to get some more lectric fx modulation and wanted to ask if you used the use at your our own risk drilling templates they provide or did you ultimately measure things out? Also, which ones do you really like?
