My Son just got a Gibson Les Paul Standard Classic!!!

I dig that red. I think I would have kept the zebra pickups uncovered. I bet he really loves it. When it comes to Les Pauls I think my favorites are the solid colors unless it's a plain top under one of the bursts.
 
It reminds me less of boomer bends and more of George Harrison playing in the clip for Revolution. Doesn't get much cooler than that.
 
Obviously being a good son means he has to loan it out to you whenever you want to play it!
Tell him it is his duty as your son!

I'm so Lucky that I'm a Lefty or he would have ask me to play it!
I'm not a fan of the Gibson guitars for their questionable Headstock design that they will not change.
My mate has the only Les Paul that has been to Hell & Back that doesn't have a cracked or broken Headstock!
It's a 1980 Deluxe model with a 3 piece maple neck that was frowned apon but they should have stuck with it!

Saw them in concert at the Santa Monica Civic. The opening band was Dove. After about 3 songs we realized that Devo spelled sideways was Dove, and that we were watching Devo open for themselves......
