He's 38 so it's his perogative.
It's was about 2 weeks old when he purchased it, The guy who purchased it wanted a 2023 model!!!
It's a 2022 Gibson Les Paul standard Classic in Translucent Red.
It has been upgraded by original buyer with Grover Kluson style tuners & the Pickup's & surround rings were changed to Black & the Rythm/Treble Plate, Scratchplate.
It has the the vintage 4 Push Pull knobs for all different combinations. He payed $3,000 AU & it was over $4000.00 AU
It comes with a Heavy duty Gibson case that has all blacked out hardware.
He hasn't put it down except when he has to go to his day job

He sent me a photo that doesn't do it justice but there isn't a model available that looks like it!
I forgot to mention that all the standard hardware came with it in the Case!
It looks Fantastic in person!

Looks like he bought it from the Rock Inn! $3000 sounds like a good price, especially from them. Does it have the skinny neck? It's funny; the black hardware makes it look more like a Custom. I like those Classics. Joey Santiago from the Pixies has made some fantastic music on one.

The Rock Inn & 60's thinner neck!

I can't imagine paying 3k for a used guitar🥶 I'm sure it's nice but it looks like something a blues lawyer would play, has boomer bends written all over it 😂
You have to remember the US $1.00 equates to $1.50 AU so that equates to $2,000 US Dollars.
This Guitar was like 2 weeks old, Never Gigged!, It's RRP is closer to $5,000
This has a plain maple cap, you should do some more research! ;)
Apparently the chap buys a new guitar every 2nd month coz he can!!!

Well.. it's $3K in kangaroo money..
3k in any money 💸💸💸 ⚰️🪦

Anyone can do what they want with their money, including being fiscally irresponsible 😂. If a person wants to spend their money good for them. I don't have that kind of money to throw around and even if I did I'm not sure I would spend that much on a used guitar, especially one that looks like boring grandpa Joe Bonamassa would play

I’m not usually all that into Les Pauls but that guitar looks incredible. Congrats to your son!
