New Alpha Potentiometers from Tayda feels loose

Anyone notice that the new Alpha Potentiometers(without the dust covers) from Tayda feels loose? The older stock with the dust covers feels better and doesn't slide easily when turned. Better stickier "feel" in my opinion.

The Alpha pots I bought from Musikding feel like that.
I still never bought Alpha pot without dust cover from Tayda, but I suppose now Tayda sells exactly the same pots of Musikding.

Most of my recent builds have used the newer design, but they get mixed with older ones. I don’t feel a difference in the knob action between them. Could be QC issues? I’ve used Alphas for years, and while they’re not Bournes quality, think they’ve held up well and have decent feel.
