I've been chasing a sound that I've had in my head. It's high gain and kind of modern but it is it's own thing. I was hoping the Soldano pedal would get there, but it didn't. The hard clipping is super asymmetrical. Some of my previous attempts fizzed out. This one doesn't. It has a crunchbox / suhr riot heritage (which I like) but has more sizzle (or something like that).
This was my 7th or 8th prototype. I have a lot of keepers before this (but for other reasons). The other side isn't that exciting - just a plain 4 knobber (gain, vol, pres, tone).
