New PCB + Vintage Bits = Colorsound Power Boost Clone

This has quickly become one of my favorite pedals. I love how it works with my strat, and I really need to try it out with some of my other single coils as well. This is a clone of the Colorsound Power Boost using the Aion board but all vintage "bits" for the pedal itself. The resistors are 1/3 and 1/4 W Iskra combined with tropical fish, ceramic, and axial electrolytic capacitors. Q1 and Q2 are BC169s and Q3 is a BC184. The Aion design has an 18V charge pump incorporated into the PCB, so I just used all modern bits for that, as its only job is to take the (reasonably) clean 9V from my T-Rex Fuel Tank and turn it into (reasonably) clean 18V.

For the enclosure I decided to do something fun... sort of an homage to the original with a dino theme...

More info at the blog if you're interested. Long-term I've found some of the original PCBs I may try and etch, but I'd want to modify them to incorporate the volume control the Aion board has added. I need to look at the layout a bit more and figure out how to make that work...

I looked at the PedalPCB version, but the board is really tight. I'm not sure I could actually fit the vintage bits into it. For a straight modern build it looks great, though.
