How is that analogous? Public domain is public domain and no longer covered by copyright (trademark, patent, etc.) protection.

I'm the sense that it's freely available to download on the internet and grey area enough to be rife for abuse without any real penalty.

Well I just checked my notifications and I'd like to announce that my New-Member tag has been changed to just Member now, and that is a great feeling.
On the topic of this post I've been doing some thinking and I'm thinking that maybe had there been some wording in the listing about how they dont own any of the schematics and was charging for the time to compile and organize, I might have totally just been like sure fair enough. I mean even if it was to get the attention of someone interested in starting out that'd be cool but the way the listing is worded makes it sound as though everything will be dead simple and fool proof. That I think would probably push a person just starting out to probably give up after failure and who knows what sort of talent that person may have had had they been told the truth. Im having trouble putting into words what Im trying to get across but I think most people will understand what Im trying to say here.
