Now Playing... What are you Listening to Right Now?

Been on a classical kick lately. One of my favorite players is the great Göran Söllscher.
One of his main things is his 11 string alto guitar. It's tuned Bb1 C2 D2 Eb2 F2 G2 C3 F3 Bb3 D4 G4. I will include a few of his arrangements if anyone is interested.

I know, thinking I'm some kind of poet over here. I'll never write a limerick that slaps as hard as this chorus:

"I'm in love with an emo girl
I'm in love with an emo girl
I'm in love with an emo girl
I'm in love with an... EEE mo girl"

MGK is the Soundtank Slam Punk of punk bands.

I've been listening to Flood by They Might Be Giants with the kids lately (they love it) and I decided to check out their last record. I never liked the couple albums that followed Flood so I stopped paying attention. The new one is great though

I took my wife to see TMBG on the Flood 30th anniversary tour. That was in February 2020, one of the last times we went out anywhere. My only exposure to TMBG was the songs that were in the Animaniacs but I ended up having a really good time

Clutch is one of my favorite bands and they just released a song called "Red Alert (Boss Metal Zone)", which seemed like the perfect contribution:

"Early in 2021, I learned the Boss Metal Zone pedal schematic was being presented as “proof” that the Covid-19 vaccine had an electronic component to communicate with 5G cellular networks. It was, of course, nonsense. It sounded like a Philip K. Dick premise. I didn’t want to write a song specific to Covid-19 vaccines, so I went with the Philip K. Dick angle (again). “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” came to mind (replicants, in particular, representing what is real and not real, or is there a difference at all?). The video makes no secret that this is an homage to Philip K. Dick and a future where we have distortion coursing through our veins." Neil Fallon
