I've been going through a lot of Sabbath,.and more recently, a lot of the Rival Sons stuff. Really like their latest album (Feral Roots), and they were absolutely great live on that tour.
I just ordered tickets for the nearby All Things Go Music Festival with HAIM and St. Vincent headlining. Should be a good way to spend a Saturday in mid-October.I’ve been listening to the newest St. Vincent album. The first track/single isn’t that good, but the rest of it is really good. Like, REALLY good.
I also had Shellac on earlier. Talk about dichotomy…
What a great album. The Allman Brothers Band "Live At Fillmore East"
Gram Parsons is one of those artists who I think deserves a bit more recognition for his contribution to music. Another one gone too soon, as well.
Also, I gotta get me a Nudie Suit.

I wish they'd had the chance to work together more. Imagine getting 50 more years of (Parsons, Hillman) and (Hillman, Parsons) credits!I think I'm more a Chris Hillman fan than GP honestly. This is a pretty great record though.
You may be right, but when Parsons joined the Byrds, to me there was a noticable difference and it's obvious Hilman enjoyed working with him Hence The Burrito BrothersI think I'm more a Chris Hillman fan than GP honestly. This is a pretty great record though.
I listen to the byrds far far more than I probably should. For me, it's the addition of Clarence White as a full blown member on sweetheart that I really love. I think it was more that Graham embraced Hillmans love of country music that maybe influenced the changes in the ByrdsI listen to the byrds far far more than I probably should.
