Nice optical compressor circuit from GuitarPCB, their "Squishy Octopus" board (DOD 280 Compressor clone). As it says on the label "squishy"! I'm guessing it's the reactance timing of the optic coupler.

IMO, it tends to dampen the highs. Might be able to correct that by futzing with some cap values.
