Paragon mini (KoT) gain question

So I set up my paragon mini with low on 1 and high on 2. But wow, high is really aggressive. Low is about right. So I was thinking of pulling the 100k and putting in the 1k like on 1, but it could be something else, right? Like 10k? Or even 500R on 1 and 5k on 2?

Also thinking purple knobs for 1 and red knobs for 2. Unfortunately they don't make YELLOW illuminated 3PDTs.

Why not try a trim pot with pins 2 and 3 connected?

I do this a lot when I can’t decide what I like best. Just put a 100k trim where your 100k resistor is and adjust to see what you like best. Or a lower value if you don’t like what you have.
