PCBGMania back in action

There's a video there purporting to explain why PCBGM has been offline and their "new direction," which sounds like ... digital emulation? Eagle files? I don't know. I'm not interested so I didn't pay attention.

Well, the dude has very nice hair for a PCB maker. He also looks slightly sheepish hahahaa

Very interesting to see people in the biz in person--pedal builders or PCB maker.

The expression says it all in the first pic. These boards... meh... The second pic, it looked like he was on the verge of distraught. Taken in the apology zone of the video.

I wish him well and success, because everybody deserves a second chance.

2nd chances worked out well for:
Jay aitch Skawt
Creepy Uncle Whutzisname, the rigged doctor, Mason Jar'n'mellow whatever he calls himself these days
Demi-foreverDrama...

To a lesser extent:
FreeCashBoos
So-stained Paunch...

even gargantuans such as
Glibsong...
... etc

When I first started building, this was really the only place that stood out as risky- “is this a layout that works? Order ‘n see!”.

I’m surprised, as I have to assume manufacturers test their designs before unleashing em on the public. Mistakes happen of course, but… seems like a lot of issues there- several different pcbs, correct?

So...why are you selling them now?

Hmm ... not to berate, but to contemplate on whether to elaborate, even deliberate attempts to collate, yet gyrate without being irate, and then orchestrate a PCB that can discombobulate commensurate with a barbituate...

I swore off PCBGM long ago, but as far as I can tell this is the only Sagan Delay PCB available anywhere now (there's a vero layout, but that's even more psychotic).

I thought maybe Small Bear selling it was a safe buffer, but a still untested board with a high parts count at $14.99 per PCB? I think I'll pass.

Limited Selection

That's the other problem with the whole arrangement, limited selection.

But for the Sagan Delay there are very few circuits that PCBGM offered that were not offered elsewhere; of the few that I'd be interested in, they'd be the ones that SmallSynthCubeBear would NOT offer — pretty much the same how I'd like to get some FuzzDog PCBs but they're not amongst the handful of Fuzzdog stuff that SynthBearCubeSmall carries.

I might be tempted to get the oddball circuits IF CubeBearSmallSynth vetted them. Doubtful I'll be tempted at all.

It would be nice to get a proper Sagan PCB. I believe one of the guys making them passed away, and the other simply went MIA and took his site down. But the tiny number of people who want to build one probably doesn't justify the amount of work it would take to revive the whole project.

And an update, Small Bear tells me they are adding comments to PCBGM listings as they verify them. The Cosmos is next in the queue. However, I don't know if "verify" indicates that it sounds the way it's supposed to. I've built plenty of PCBGM boards that "work" but sound like absolute shite.
