PedalPCB forums appreciation thread

This forum has been an absolute gem for me! The best bit I've learned here is to calm down and approach troubleshooting more methodically rather than emotionally. I love the various facets and rabbit holes of top end knowledge and high quality opinions that are just a quick post away. TBH this forum really just let's me know that I'm not alone with all these obsessions.
On a side note, I hope Will and Fig are doing OK, I haven't seen those two around lately.

One of the things I really appreciate about this forum is how it stands in contrast to a lot of other spaces dedicated to equipment. Reading posts about pedals on the Gear Page is like reading a treatise by an 11th century monk on sorcery and magic. Reddit's guitarpedal sub is slightly better but still not great - still lots of praise of the mysterious and far too many fans of the JHS show. Discussion leans really heavily on using description borrowed from pedal marketing. PedalPCB seems to have a culture of skepticism that I gravitate toward.

I also really like when commercial builders come on to this forum trying to sling their bullshit magic diodes or over-engineered power filtering and the responses are ruthless. 10/10

I have really come to appreciate this forum over the last year. Everyone I have interacted with on here has been understanding, kind and supportive. It’s nice to be able to interact with other people who are deeply interested in things.

I spend most of my time working or with my family and I’m often the most knowledgeable person in both of those contexts at many things. Many people at work refer to me as either a wizard or guru lol. It’s nice to come on here and have people who can school me on guitar pedals. I have come much farther with my understanding of pedals and guitars in general since joining. Had it not been for this forum I may have lost interest.

Never been much for forums or social media. But I have been on this forum pretty much daily since I joined. I joined because I needed to troubleshoot a Proposition overdrive. I stayed because of the jokes and endless discovery of further rabbit holes. Also, I love when a good thread pops up and everyone jumps in. Or discovering old threads that are funnier than most Netflix standup comedy specials. Love this place. Love you dudes and dudettes. Stay excellent my friends. Thanks @Robert

A distaste for charlatans is definitely part of what keeps me here :ROFLMAO:

No, admittedly you didn't say The Charlatans, just lower-case charlatans. Indeed, they are lower-case the charlatans of which you speak.

Anyway... this community is awesome. I especially appreciate the RESPECT shown between members even though they may have differing musical tastes, varying tastes in effects, diverse tastes in humour, or uncommon culinary tastes, etc ...

Thank you all, for keeping the forum TASTY!
