Perf board issue

I put two small circuits on a perf board. First is pre amp, then a cab sim. The diagrams attached are from effect layouts blog. Neither worked at first then I got the pre amp to work. After, I got the cab sim to work but then the pre amp didn’t work any longer. I ran a prob through it and it stopped working at the G point on the trans but not on the other points of the trans. I think I killed it when the second circuit was on. I want to switch out the trans (j201) but don’t want to just kill that one too.

My question is: do I need anything to separate the power between the circuits?

And I should mention that my circuit placement isn’t exactly like the diagrams; however, they are configured the same.

I would take a look at a lot of those solder joints. There appears to be a lot of spillover to other points and some need more solder. Check the 220k resistor going to Gate to make sure it's in there pretty good.

And yea they can share the power. You can have one filtering circuit in common with both.

Solved. I must have knocked the j201 loose. It’s working.
