Pets of PedalPCB

Yup, been there done that when walking my brother's Great Dane — she found a stinky dead one in the brush to roll around on.
I yanked her outta there so fast it made her head spin, but it minimised the quills I had to remove.

My pig, my baby squirrel…this is Pecan (like CON, not CAN lol) she was rescued from some trailer in Tennessee. I guess some elderly couple had about 30+ animals they couldn’t take care of and a shelter stepped up. We got her right at the end of the pandemic. She’ll be 11 this year AND according to allllll the paperwork & vet files I have, she shares the same birthday as my wife 🥹

This sassy stink is currently at the vet with a fever of 106°. Not sure what's wrong with him yet, but he hasn't been eating or drinking enough the last few days. He's also been incredibly lethargic, and not at all himself

Waiting on an update from the vet

Vet just called. He got a blood parasite from a flea. Totally treatable, and he's responding really well to steroids and antibiotics. He should be coming home tonight

Remi just got her summer haircut. We decided to go for a classic Mohawk. She is however freaking out about fireworks here in Brooklyn. Poor thing was shaking!
Aside from the thousands of mortars I can hear in the distance, I've been hearing a ton of these bastards on my block for like the last 30 minutes straight. You can't even buy ground bloom flowers in Portland right now but (boooooooom) it's somehow loud af.... 4341b83b78ca78c6ec19c927a744a10e-large.png

Got a new addition to the family today.

He is a rescue, apparently people just dump dogs in rural Eastern Colorado.

The rescue (one woman in rural Colorado) caught him and brought him home, he was full of fleas and ticks. She’s taken care of that and needed to find a home for him.

Typically she works with a shelter but he’s really skittish and very untrusting.

That said, met with her today, he and our pup bonded right away and in the few hours we have had him he’s made huge strides in trust.

Still going to need to put in the extra effort but he deserves it, not being abandoned in the middle of no where.
