PnP V4.5 Does anyone really know?

Does the rat circuit run parallel to the orange squeezer and then got to the buffer blend? Is the rat switched into the circuit with a dpdt or 3pdt toggle? Anyone ever trace V4.5?

No, I'd go with a 4PDT V4.37 NpN.

Kidding aside...

ELS' Citrus Press PDF has them in parallel, but then it's not an exact replica of the Pulp n Peel, TTBoMK.

EDIT: just re-read the Build Doc for the Citrus Press, it's just a clean blend running parallel with the Squeezer — a favourite combo for JTEX, clean-blend with compression. 😹

I don’t know why I’m obsessed with it, I guess cause Rat maybe.

I was just alluding to most people seeing "PnP" in the title are going to think "PNP", not "Pulp 'n' Peel".

Would love to definitively know what's going on inside the V4x...
Marketed as a preamp, but it's a Rat circuit?
What's the "DIRT" doin'? Is it something akin to Jack AMZ Orman's warp control? Or is it simply a GAIN trimmer?

Curious Cats wanna know.

From the YouTube short I saw, it’s fixed gain. Nick said it was a rat also.

I saw the short-vid with Nick, and another where Josh also mentions that there's a

RAT INSIDE small.png

EDIT sorry, uploaded the large one by accident, now fixed

Posting-a-graphic-problems...

Graphic in my previous post (#6) should have "RAT INSIDE" ...

I can see it. Maybe you can't but...

A white rat, six-feet tall.

Well...
Six-feet, three-and-a-half inches. Now let's stick to the facts.
