Power I/O Module problems (SOLVED)

Hello, here's a weird one.
I'm building the Equilux (pretty darn cool, I must say), and I'm using a power I/O module. I rocked the circuit before I boxed it, so I know that's not the problem.
Here's the thing. When plugged in and off, the circuit passes the audio signal. But when I hit the footswitch ("ON"), the sound stops.

Tracing the audio signal, when engaged, I can get a signal on the modboard at the "in" jack itself, but I get nothing from the "in" on the I/O module that goes to the footswitch. The trace on the I/O goes directly from the 'in" jack to the "in" on the modboard, so I have no frickin' idea how they could disconnect.

I've used the I/O board before on other pedals and didn't have this problem, so I'm stumped.

Check to see if the IN pad on your I/O board has continuity with ground when you activate the foot switch. If yes, try to see if you can gently move the bare wire on your foot switch away from the ground lug (the center lug).

Is the bare wire of the + rail touching the left leg of the top middle pot? It looks like it's touching in that picture but it's hard to tell in three dimensions. The bare wires like that could certainly short when stuffed into an enclosure (which maybe is why it worked and then didn't?)

Also make sure your topside solder looks good, it's possible that your input wire could be shorted to the 9v rail with a tiny stray strand of wire.
It'd be unusual on such a simple board but if a trace was damaged, you could also try bridging it manually from the input of the jack to the input pad with a bodge wire.

If the circuit passes signal to the output in bypass, then the signal is getting to the footswitch. If the signal is not getting to the switch when not in bypass, then as others have suggested there must be some short that is only an issue when the switch is switched "on"

This is terribly embarrassing, and I considered just abandoning this post. But I figured that would be worse than owning up to being a bonehead.

To Wit: Turns out I plugged the sound source into the OUT instead of the IN, hence no audio signal when engaged.
