They're Apples of Eden from a video game series called Assassin's Creed. According to the game lore, they're artifacts from a precursor civilization of the Isu.

Honestly if anyone were to go ahead and do it I wouldn't throw stones.
I respect anyone with enough drive to put a design on their work because I currently do not for the vast majority of my builds.
