Problem with the Woodpecker Tremolo

Hi guys! I'm currently working on the Woodpecker Tremolo. The thing is, when it's off, the audio passes through clean, but when I turn it on there is no sound at all. Checked the resistances and caps, and pots and transistors. Can't find what's wrong!
Need some help here!

it’s silly but I’m guilty of it, are you sure your plugged in the right way-input and output? If you do it backwards you will get sound in bypass and none when on.

China... So I changed it for another JFET now (2N5457) and it sounds. There is not a hint of a tremolo, but it sounds.

did you test it prior to doing your off board wiring? could be any number of things. Audio probe is your best friend right now.

Yes! I followed the signal to the signal to the JFET, changed it and now it sounds... But there is no tremolo! So, the audio probe can't help me now

I bet that’s your issue. Q3 controls the tremolo.

It’s the fake Chinese parts you need to look out for! I think all all the parts minus Russian diodes are made in china… most likely those are too

Nothing wrong with Chinese parts, just fake parts in general. They may not be fake, either…just not in spec.

You are right. What I meant is I bought those in Aliexpress... But the good JFET is bought through Aliexpress to a different store... At least I know now which one is good

When you use sockets, it’s not even troubleshooting…it’s ‘tuning’ the pedal.

The problem now is to find a 2N6027 in Chile. Just checked my local providers and nothing...
Do you know any alternative? I read it's a PUT, an I can't seem to find anything similar.
