My god I love this pedal. It’s really great and I can get many sounds out of it. I tried learning a bunch of songs the other night from different artists and genres and that pedal did it all.

the order switch is actually useful. Blue into Green can get pretty gnarly (in a good way) so I’m glad I added that in.

who else has built one and how are you getting on with it?
 
I haven't built it, but it's on my list and quite near the top. I am still hoping for the combined circuit on a 1590BB-friendly board if I'm honest, that would get me in sooner than separate boards.
 
Totally get wanting the combined board. I might build another one with that pcb too. I know we’ve been told that it’s coming but it looks like PPCB has a ton going on right now.

Just got my enclosures this week, doing labeling this weekend and hope to get them populated and assembled in a week or so

Here’s a little jam with the protein (rhythm) and the Dung Beetle (lead). It’s bedroom level so it’s not as good as it can be but even still it sounds great.
 
After vacation, I'll have to play them. I built the proteins but haven't had time to really jam with them. Been working on a digital flanger and a digital delay (terrarium) and a double chorus. Just tweaking the algorithms.

The blue side is awesome you’ll probably like that. The green side is good but I found that it really is much better when it’s pushing a slightly overdriven/edge of breakup amp
 
Love it so much that it’s on my main board now. I’m also building a blue 10 by itself and will use it on my second board along with my Aion ODR-1 clone (with the bass control). The Protein green side is pretty much an ODR-1 from what I’ve heard. Like a couple of you, I probably won’t build another dual until the combined pcb comes out. I’m not a fan of the 1590xx.

That looks great dude. That’s a good idea building the blue side standalone. I agree 1590xx takes up too much space compared to the bb. I had a hell of a time getting everything to fit in a 1590bb.

Protein in a 1590BB with the adapter ring

So I finally got my adapter ring for the 1590BB all fitted correctly and it looks great! Fit like a glove on the lip around the lid of the enclosure. Screws are a little tight but the material is soft enough to be screwed through with a screwdriver and a gentle pressure. I’m really pumped this...

That’s the one benefit of having the separate pcb’s. It’ll go into a 1590b as well. Blue side is definitely my favorite!
 
Eventually I'll build it. I've been wanting an ODR-1, and the BB is one of my favorite pedals so I wouldn't mind having another take on it.
