Yesterday on a lake, today in the mountains. Waimakariri River bed Arthur's Pass Nationalpark. Hard to imagine that that riverbed is at times fully roaring with water.

Just discovered some pics I had taken on my last trip to NYC in I think 2019. My wife was at a conference for a few days in a very hot and humid NYC July. one day I took the Roosevelt Island tramway and took some pics along the way.

Yesterday morning there was a smashed frog on our road that I had to disallow our dog from eating.
This morning, this little box turtle was having the meal of the month.

Funny part is we have a dozen or so vultures that roost in an old pine across the street. Somehow this little guy beat them to it.
